McCartney Carpet originated in Westfield in 1997 by Bill and Joan McCartney by renovating an old liquor store into a flooring showroom with a 15x20 garage for product storage. Its success required an addition several years later of a storage warehouse, and 4 years later, the showroom itself was expanded to accommodate offices and merchandising displays. In 2013 the business was purchased by Bill and Joan's son Mark and his wife Robyn and so a true family business was born. In 2019, Mark and Robyn opened their second location in Wautoma, just 25 miles from Westfield.
